Fun thread. Sorry I'm late. The kitchen job I enjoyed most was summer '79 in Oregon, where someone played the David Grisman Quintet first album whenever she could - wonderful choice. As far as GD is concerned, I agree with rdenirojb87 about 70-72, and Ladies and Gentlemen's mellow vibe is very sweet. Reckoning's another good call.

For chrissakes give everyone some variety. I worked for one idiot (in a bookstore) who subscribed to eight-track tapes of garbage muzak and left the same tape on all week. Some customers would walk in and then in the same breath walk straight back out. We workers were not so lucky. The Christmas tape would arrive in mid-October; just imagine...
